Tempest House

Tempest House is situated on the first floor. It comprises of 12 single en-suite bed sitting rooms. We encourage the service user to personalise their bedrooms and assistance is available to achieve this if required.

It is important to keep an open mind about the concept of old age and older persons. We feel it is vital that older people are treat as individuals and have their needs met in an holistic integrated way ridding ourselves of images of older people typically being frail, incapacitated and heavily dependent.
The reality is that a large number of older people are fit, healthy and mentally alert.

Tempest House has been decorated and furnished in a traditional manner in keeping with the age range of the service users. There is a dedicated activities area whereby service users can make refreshments or participate in the many varied activities we will offer to both stimulate and challenge.

We must never assume that all older people will enjoy the same activities. We will promote good practice by assessing our service users to determine their individual needs or aspirations. An older person may have a wide range of needs owing to their uniqueness therefore we will ensure that all our service users identity is valued and maintained.
